CO-OWNER, CEO & EXECUTIVE PRODUCER
Strategizer. Big picture thinker. Experienced leader. The concept of yin and yang is based in the belief that opposites often find themselves to be complementary forces that function greater as a whole. You won’t find a better example of these polar forces than in Joanne and Robin’s partnership. To Joanne’s lightning rod imagination, Robin brings practicality, thoughtful creativity, marketing know-how and financial prowess. A New York entertainment lawyer, it doesn’t take much to set her analytical mind in motion (she likely strategizes in her sleep). Robin will examine every option to efficiently and effectively produce a client’s project, at a fair budget. Likewise, she’ll leave no rock unturned when contemplating where to pitch documentary projects or where to seek funding for GreyHawk’s latest project. She studies industry trends and is an avid learner. Industry conferences, courses and periodicals are pleasure time for her. She leads by example, challenging her team to think bigger and achieve grander. Her intrepid spirit has led GreyHawk to routinely exceed client expectations and push its filmmaking to higher levels.
Beyond the world of production, Robin’s passion to serve the underserved has informed both her professional career and personal achievements. She has been an active board member for the past 30 years, spent 4 years as a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem for the NC courts and served as Vice Chairman of The Arts Empowerment Project during its founding 4 years – a nonprofit that connects at-risk children to Charlotte-area arts programs. Her community involvement and exceptional business talents have led to a slew of accolades, including a 2009 Charlotte Business Journal Women in Business Achievement Award and recognition as a 2012 Business Leader from Top Entrepreneur.
